The Head of the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB), TNI Suharyanto, has given Rp.500 million ($38,000) to landslide victims in South Bogor District, West Java. The funds were symbolically handed over to Bogor Deputy Mayor Dedie A. Rachim at the evacuation site. The ready-to-use funds are intended to accelerate the process of searching, helping and evacuating the four residents who are still buried under the avalanche materials. Additionally, the BNPB has offered logistical support and equipment such as tents, blankets, necessities and hygiene kits. High-intensity rain in Bogor on Tuesday 14 March led to a landslide affecting Sirna Sari village leaving two people dead, 11 people found alive, four people still missing, and six houses and one place of worship destroyed.
