BNP Paribas in turn gives in to the charms of Florida. The bank has just announced the signing of a seven-year lease to set up in Miami’s financial district. The new office will accommodate around fifty employees of the “Global Markets” division, from the end of the year.
“The thinking started 18 months ago, during the Covid crisis, when it became clear that hedge funds, asset managers and institutionals were moving to Florida. This is a trend that is likely to continue and it is important for us to be able to deal face to face with our clients”, explains Joe Bonnaud, deputy head of the Global Markets America division. The activity will, for the most part, be concentrated on the sale of products and services.
