There is currently no new request for approval from the central bank
On May 11, 2021 – the day before the date of appointment of the caretaker government of the Republic of Bulgaria according to the President’s decree – the BNB received requests from Mr. Kiril Petkov for prior approval for members of the BDB Supervisory Board under Ordinance № 20 of the BNB approvals for members of the Management Board (Board of Directors) and the Supervisory Board of a credit institution and requirements in connection with the performance of their functions (Ordinance) and by Mr. Stamen Yanev, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BDB, for prior approval for members of the Management Board of BDB under the Ordinance.
This was announced by the BNB on the occasion of the castlings in the Bulgarian Development Bank. The same requests were withdrawn by Minister Kiril Petkov and Mr. Stamen Yanev, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BDB, respectively, on May 21, 2021.
At present, the BNB has not submitted a new request for approval for members of the BDB Supervisory or Management Board.
