BNB does not want to answer all questions and gives staged statements –

/ world today news/ The governor of the Bulgarian National Bank, Ivan Iskrov, blamed his press director for the scandal with the denial of access to many media at today’s press conference on the fate of the Corporate Commercial Bank.

“Because only certain media are invited today. This matter is absolutely serious. I do not run away from responsibility… This was a decision of the press director of the central bank,” said Iskrov and declared that he did not interfere in his work.

“I don’t interfere. I’m not an orchestra person. There was such a minister, he used to brag. I’m not an orchestra person,” repeated Iskrov, waving his hands nervously.

Hearing these words of his, some of the journalists present at the meeting reacted with shouts of “Whoah whoah”.

Today, the Bulgarian National Bank had to give an important press conference about the fate of Corporate Commercial Bank, which was placed under special supervision. The topic is of interest to all Bulgarian citizens, because in the last month there has been a great tension in the banking sector in the country.

Instead of providing an opportunity for journalists from all media to cover the event, the press center of the financial institution, which is headed by Alexander Urumov, compiled a list of certain media that were allowed to attend Ivan Iskrov’s statement. Urumov is one of Iskrov’s closest collaborators.

While the governor’s statement was ongoing, dozens of journalists, cameramen and photojournalists were forced to remain in front of the central entrance of the BNB.

This created the impression that the BNB does not want to answer all questions and gives staged statements. According to people in the know, the current director of the BNB, Ivan Iskrov, is close to DPS and GERB.
