BMW has presented its new generation of the 5 Series Saloon, which will have a 100% electric option and several technological innovations. The new sedan is longer, exceeding five meters in length compared to 4.96 meters in the previous generation, as well as almost two in width (1.9 meters) and 1.5 in height.

The combined charging unit (CCU) of the BMW i5 enables charging in alternating current with a power of up to 11 kW as standard for the BMW i5 eDrive 40 and up to 22 kW for the BMW i5 M60 xDrive. The high-voltage battery can be charged with direct current with a power of up to 205 kW.
