The Munich carmaker brought another look to the imaginary town of M Town, where the M3 Touring is already parked and M electric car chargers are being built.

In a new video from the imaginary city of M Town, this time subtitled The Drop, the Munich carmaker reveals several significant innovations and at the same time recalls a number of classic models. The whole video is carried in a traditionally furious and smiling spirit.
But let’s start with the most important thing, which is undoubtedly a short shot at the rear of the upcoming BMW M3 Touring – the long-awaited M3 model with a station wagon body. At the same time, no one sits in the trunk but the current head of the M division, Markus Flasch, who is flipping through the “Lap Times” newspaper. All you have to do is stop the video at 1:20.

In the following scene, we can see in the foreground part of the concept of the BMW M3 pick-up from 2011, which, however, did not see production. In M Town, it served as a utility vehicle for transporting electric car chargers, which one of the technicians is installing on the sidewalk.
The M Division is thus recording more and more speculation about the development of several sharp plug-in hybrid models, which will suffice with an ordinary Type 2 socket for slower AC charging. The top representative of the offer of plug-in hybrids could be the X8 M45e model with a combined output of around 750 hp.

In the shots we can see a number of remarkable pieces from the offer of the BMW M division, from the legendary classics of the M3 generation e30 and e46, to the current generations of the M3, M5 or X6 models. In addition to entire cars, the carmaker also focused on smaller details, including a stylish alarm clock with an impressive sound, a range of wardrobe accessories and stylish M Performance wheels.
The most interesting part of the video, however, remains the first look at the M3 Touring model, which is a fulfilled wish of many enthusiasts and should also become a dignified answer to models such as the Mercedes-AMG C63 station wagon or Audi RS4 Avant. But we will still have to wait for specific parameters of the model.
