He is significantly unusual and futuristic. The look follows the series of concept motorcycles, which began in 2017 with the introduction of the BMW Motorrad Concept Link concept and continued with the almost standard BMW Motorrad Definition CE 04 machine, introduced in 2020. So now we have a production version.
It is powered by an electric motor with a permanent magnet located in the frame between the battery and the rear wheel, which provides a maximum output of 31 kW (42 hp). The manufacturer claims that the scooter will get from rest to 50 km / h in 2.6 seconds.
In the reduced power class of the L3e-A1, a drive power of 23 kW (31 hp) is available. The maximum speed of both versions is 120 km / h.
The electric motor draws energy from a battery with a capacity of 8.9 kWh, which is enough for a range of approximately 130 km (for the version with a reduced output of 100 km). The lithium-ion battery can be charged from a standard household outlet, from a Wallbox or at a public charging station.
When the battery is completely discharged, it ideally takes 4 hours and 20 minutes to charge from a standard outlet, with the quick charger, which is available as an optional accessory and whose power reaches up to 6.9 kW (standard level is 2.3 kW). shortens the charge to 1 hour and 40 minutes when the battery is completely discharged. If the battery charge level is only 20%, it takes 80 percent to charge 45 percent with the quick charger.

The basis of the 2285 mm long, 855 mm wide and 231 kg motorbike is a frame with a tubular steel construction. A telescopic fork with a glider tube diameter of 35 mm is used for the front wheel. The rear wheel guide is secured by a one-sided swingarm. At the rear, a fully covered spring strut provides suspension and damping. The new BMW CE 04 is equipped with 120/70 R15 67H tires at the front and 60/60 R15 56H at the rear.
At the front, deceleration is provided by a double-disc brake, which is assisted at the rear by a single-disc system.
The BMW CE 04 offers three driving modes as standard: Eco, Road for everyday use and Rain to help with wet or slippery roads. For an additional fee, those interested can also get the Dynamic mode, which allows even faster acceleration.
The electric motorcycle is equipped as standard with a 10.25-inch color display with integrated map navigation and connectivity. BMW also highlights the use of state-of-the-art LED technology in lighting units.
