MADRID, 8 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The BMW group has signed a revolving credit line for a total amount of 8,000 million euros, with a term of five years and two one-year extension options, a transaction in which a total of 43 banks in Europe have participated, America and Asia, as reported by the company.
Specifically, BNP Paribas, Citi and Deutsche Bank have been the coordinating brokers thanks to which the BMW group has replaced the existing credit line of 8,000 million euros signed in 2017.
The BMW group has consistently presented its strategic approach to sustainability, explaining that it first handed out a fact sheet to the banks involved to provide transparent information on their progress and goals.
In a second step, the company sent questionnaires to lenders, with the goal of reflecting outside-in perspectives on its sustainability performance.
The financial director of BMW AG in Munich, Walter Mertl, has detailed that for the first time, the group has fully disclosed its corresponding activities in a global financing process.
