BMW reportedly does not want to offer an electric range of 1,000 km, so far 600 km is enough

Range is constantly perceived as one of the most important criteria of electric cars, but BMW focuses on developments in several areas.

Range on a single charge, immediately after the price, is often one of the most frequently solved parameters in new electric cars. No wonder, then, that many automakers are trying to invest heavily in technologies that will allow them to offer a range of over 1,000 kilometers. But BMW is not one of these carmakers.

The mileage of a thousand kilometers is not the goal we have set for our electric cars,Said David Ferrufino, BMW i4 project leader, in an interview with Australian colleagues at WhichCar. “We aim for 600 kilometers for fully electric cars and 100 kilometers for plug-in hybrids for everyday driving,” added.
