BMW Motorrad Halts Gasoline Motorcycle Sales in the US Due to Technical Problems; Electric CE 04 Remains the Sole Option

BMW Motorrad, the motorcycle division of the German automaker BMW, has stopped selling motorcycles with conventional gasoline engines in the US. This applies to both brand new and used motorcycles. Only the electric BMW CE 04 motorcycle, or rather a scooter, remains on the market.

It is reported that the reason for this behavior is related to technical problems, namely with the fuel system. The problems affected motorcycles of different generations, so the sale was simply completely stopped. Ongoing material control to ensure quality and eliminate any deficiencies if they are found. The problems do not create safety risks and owners of BMW motorcycles can use them without worries. However, the manufacturer has not announced when motorcycle sales could resume.

Therefore, only the electric CE 04, which went into production less than two years ago, is currently available to customers in the US. BMW has used a slightly futuristic design in this model, but it still looks like a larger scooter than a motorcycle. The CE 04 is capable of developing 42 horsepower and a maximum speed of 120 km/h, so this vehicle can actually travel on the highway as well.
