The BMW company has announced smart glasses especially useful for motorcyclists, which will display the necessary data when going on a motorcycle ride.
The new BMW Motorrad ConnectedRide Smartglasses will work with the company’s Motorrad Connected app via Bluetooth. This connection will allow them to display basic information about the journey, respectively driving speed, maximum allowed speed, gear, as well as minimum navigation information. All data will be displayed on the right lens to minimize visual disturbance.

The glasses can be equipped with both transparent and darkened glasses, and they can also be used by drivers who need vision-correcting glasses. Their battery will be built into the frame and legs so they don’t look too bulky, and according to BMW the glasses will be able to run for up to 10 hours on a single charge.
The BMW Motorrad ConnectRide Smartglasses are priced at EUR 690 in Europe and will be available soon. In any case, this is not a cheap device and will be more of an expensive toy and accessory.
