BMW Motorrad ConnectedRide Smartglasses: A New Innovation for Safer Motorcycle Riding

Jakarta (ANTARA) – BMW launched Motorrad ConnectedRide Smartglasses, a smart glasses innovation that provides technology head-up familiar in the automotive sector.

BMW says that the glasses are capable of projecting all relevant data, such as navigation, speed or speed of geardirectly into the driver’s field of vision real timethus enabling anticipatory and safer motorcycle riding, said BMW in an official statement Friday (7/7) Munich, Germany time.

BMW Motorrad ConnectedRide Smartglasses can be easily connected to smartphoneusers through Bluetooth and applications.

The projection can be positioned and the settings can be selected before riding and also while riding via the controller on the motorcycle handlebars.

In addition to individual user interfaces and driving safety improvements, these smart glasses also offer a high level of comfort.

The smart glasses design and appearance have been adapted to meet the specific needs of motorcyclists.

Additionally, the BMW Motorrad ConnectedRide Smartglasses can be adapted to suit many helmets and face shapes.

This makes smart glasses comfortable to wear even on long journeys.

The manufacturer claims the lithium-ion battery allows up to 10 hours of operation.

BMW Motorrad also provides two sets of UVA/UVB certified lenses with the housing.

A set of lenses is 85 percent transparent and can be used primarily for helmets with integrated sun visors.

The other set has tinted lenses that turn smart glasses into the perfect pair of sunglasses.

For those who wear glasses, an RX adapter is available (+/- 4.5 diopters). These add-ons can be ordered online directly from the provider.

The corresponding QR code can also be found in the ConnectedRide Smart Glasses user manual.

BMW Motorrad ConnectedRide Smartglasses will be available on 7 July 2023 as part of the BMW Motorrad Days in Berlin.

These glasses are priced at 690.00 euros, or around Rp. 11.4 million.
