BMW Group Middle East introduced the BMW XM for the first time ever, in cooperation with exclusive agents and authorized distributors in the Middle East. The new BMW XM was unveiled at a captivating ceremony in Dubai.
The all-new BMW XM is the first car to bear the M badge to be entirely designed since the launch of the BMW M1, and is the latest edition of the automotive group to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the BMW M Edition.
The new car is distinguished by the newly developed M HYBRID drive system, by its refined design and by the luxurious atmosphere in the cabin. The BMW XM is ideal for driving on various terrains and is compatible with the driving conditions in the Gulf region and the Middle East. It is also equipped with the 4WD Sand mode, which was developed specifically for off-road and paved travel alike.
The BMW XM’s M HYBRID drive system produces a combined power of 653 hp and is supported by a high-revving V8 engine with cutting-edge M TwinPower Turbo technology. The 4.4-litre engine is assisted by an electric motor integrated into the 8-speed M Steptronic transmission, delivering a total torque of 800 Nm.
The BMW XM accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds. This powerful acceleration is reflected in the car’s energized sound, which is made even more powerful by the twin hexagonal tailpipes, which for the first time in a BMW M model are stacked on top of each other.
The intelligently managed interaction between the petrol engine and the electric motor provides an outstanding performance experience worthy of the M badge in all driving conditions.
The M Hybrid button on the center console of the BMW XM can be used to select one of three operating modes, including electric mode for emission-free travel at speeds of up to 140 km/h and a maximum distance of 88 km according to the WLTP cycle.
The one-piece BMW Curved Display seamlessly delivers information and puts a world of connectivity at customers’ fingertips via a 4.9-inch touchscreen control.
Also in terms of design, the front of the car pays homage to BMW’s luxury heritage with the “Iconic Glow” kidney grille. The unique appearance of the XM is complemented by 23-inch light-alloy wheels and an exclusive eye-catching stripe in Night Gold. Standard interior features include multifunctional M seats and knee pads, as well as a spacious feel and luxurious design that transforms the rear of the BMW XM into an exclusive M Lounge.
