Director of Communications BMW Group Indonesia, Jodie O’tania revealed that the kidney-shaped grille design has so far become the identity of BMW. Then in its development the dimensions are gradually getting bigger or bigger. And in some other countries there are pros and cons.
“So far, consumers don’t have a problem. The reason is that it is a characteristic of BMW. According to consumers, the important thing is to keep the double grille,” said Jodie O’tania, on the sidelines of the launch of the BMW 4 Series, recently.
In addition, he added, the identical design makes it easier for consumers to recognize certain products. So when you look on the road, consumers can tell that it’s a BMW 4 Series.

Asked whether all BMW products will carry the gambot grille design as embedded in the 4 Series, Jodie O’tania said not all.
“For certain series it is possible. So not all series, because each model has its own characteristics,” he said.
For information, BMW lately often presents designs with grille sizes that are more gambot than some previous products. So this is a debate from some of the loyal consumers of the German automotive manufacturer.
Some people judge, the large dimensions of the grille make it look disproportionate. Some say this design is worse than Mercedes-Benz.
