The new “BMW 3.0 CSL” was created to combine five decades of “BMW M” experience in one car, according to the manufacturer. The exterior of the sports car was designed in the style of the “BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage” concept of 2015, which includes several references to the 3.0 CSL model of the 70s: round air intakes in the front bumper, massive wheel arches, a spoiler rear and a spoiler.

To reduce the weight of the car as much as possible, carbon fiber is widely used in the construction, both in the body elements, and in the interior, and in the chassis. Also, most of these parts are handcrafted. In the style of the 70s, the wheel rims are also retained, which are in a golden tone, but already in the sizes 20 and 21 inches.

The BMW 3.0 CSL is equipped with the most powerful six-cylinder engine ever installed in a BMW M model. The three-litre “M TwinPower Turbo” engine of the new “BMW 3.0 CSL” develops 560 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque. Furthermore, the engine is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.

The new “BMW 3.0 CSL” will be an exclusive model: it will be produced in a limited series of 50 units, where each specimen will be numbered with a corresponding sign on a plate inside the passenger compartment. All of these 50 cars will be produced within three months.

The automaker does not reveal the price of this “BMW 3.0 CSL”. We recall that the “BMW M4 CSL” made in a limited series of 1000 copies costs from 165 thousand euros, therefore the even more exclusive “3.0 CSL” will cost even more.
