The semiconductor crisis continues to force carmakers to deprive customers of some extras, and the latest big name is BMW. The German brand stops offering Head-Up displays for certain models due to lack of chips.
According to Bimmer Today, the extra is no longer available for 3 Series, 4 Series, X3 and X4 except cars equipped with the largest petrol and diesel engines and hybrid variants. The case is similar with the Z4, 1 Series and 2 Series, where only the M Performance models can get this extra.
Until now, it was part of the Innovation package, which cost about 3,650 euros, but with the removal of this option from it, its price dropped to 2,500 euros in Germany. The other models of the brand do not seem to be affected by the removal of this option, or at least this is the information at the moment.
