JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Meteorology Council Climatology and Geophysics (BMKG extension) issued warnings for coastal flooding or robberies in a number of areas in January 2023.
The head of the BMKG Maritime Meteorology Center Eko Prasetyo said: tidal flood it is expected to occur due to the phenomenon of the full moon or full moon on January 6, 2023.
“The full moon phenomenon on January 6, 2023 has the potential to raise maximum sea levels,” Eko said in a BMKG news release on Monday (2/1/2023).

The potential for this robbery varies from time to time in each region and generally impacts community activities around the port and coast.
“Like loading and unloading activities in ports, activities in coastal settlements, as well as salt marshes and inland fisheries,” Eko said.
The public is advised to remain alert and vigilant at all times to anticipate the impact of peak tides and to pay attention to maritime weather information updates from the BMKG.
