Farmer Annemiek went to a survival job with her men. One by one they followed the course and slid into the water, with one man going a little easier than the other. Then it was time for a nice and cozy pizza dinner. But that ‘cozy’ was not really the case.

The men and farmer’s wife sat quietly in front of them. Jelte tried to get the conversation going again and again; he joked and asked questions. The response from Annemiek: “It’s great that you get the conversation going again. You are doing a good job.” Then Jelte tried again, with a chat about cooking.

Annemiek and her men have visible difficulties in having to date in groups. In a short clip, Steven tells the viewer that it is difficult for him to disappear into the background. He therefore asks Annemiek at dinner how she thinks her life will look like in five years. The farmer’s wife answers well, but the conversation then ends again.

When Yvon Jaspers asks about the day date later, Annemiek says that she did realize that some men still had to defrost and that she wasn’t really looking forward to it. “Of course I had only spoken to them for five minutes,” she explains. “I found those speed dates very difficult. You also notice that some people have to thaw a little.”

For many viewers, these statements go down the wrong way. On the contrary, they think that Annemiek is the one who can be a bit looser and nicer. “There is only one person who has to defrost here, Annemiek! Blunt peasant woman. Six hundred letters and then no sense in D-day,” it says on Twitter, among others.

In the end Annemiek chooses Erik, Steven and Jelte. We will see next week how the gentlemen are doing on the farm and whether the atmosphere will be a little more pleasant.
