National coach Jose Peseiro van Nigeria can on the Africa Cup do not have Emmanuel Dennis. The Watford star player is absent due to an administrative error by the association.
Dennis has already scored eight goals in the Premier League this season and hoped to represent his country at the Africa Cup. However, the Nigerian federation was late in sending the invitation to the attacker and Watford, giving The Hornets the chance to keep Dennis at the club.
That now seems to have happened, because there is no longer a place for Dennis in the selection. So he will stay behind in England and fight relegation with Watford. The number seventeen in the Premier League will be happy to have their star player in the game in the coming weeks, but it is questionable whether the Nigerian feels that way himself.
