Tonight in the National Hockey League (NHL), Theodor Bluger and the Pittsburgh Penguins beat Buffalo Sabers 1-0 in the last duel of the regular season, playing this season without injured Zemgus Girgenson.
The Latvian hockey player spent 12 minutes and 27 seconds on the ice, during which he made one throw on the opponents’ goal, won 50% of the throws, finishing the game with a neutral efficiency factor of “0”.
In the first period, neither team was able to score. The second third started with a goal for the Penguins, when Jeff Carter stood up in the second minute of the period, assisted by Frederick Gudro. In the final 20 minutes, the result of the match did not change, celebrating the victory for the “Penguins” team.
Blugers took part in 43 battles in the regular championship, scoring seven goals and 15 assists, earning 16 penalty minutes and accumulating a positive efficiency of “+10”.
In 56 duels, Penguins scored 77 points, finishing in first place in the Eastern Division. Meanwhile, the “Sabers” main tournament ended with 37 points, ranking last in the division and in the whole league.
