Blues Music Stage: renowned artists on the program

The Aventure blues complice team from Tournon-d’Agenais has been running a Music Blues course for over twenty-four years, offering an atypical and motivating musical ensemble work that is both modern and perfectly adapted. It also gives participants the opportunity to boost their relationships, like a real bridge between amateur practice and the professional world of live performance. Finally, it allows all students to deliver a grand finale in public during an exceptional blues station, that of Saturday, October 26, in the Abescat hall in Tournon-d’Agenais.

Talented artists

For this new workshop, the main guests are The Chris O’Leary band with Chris O’Leary (vocals and harmonica), Mike Lynch (guitar), Chuck Cotton (drums), Shiela Klinefelter (bass) and Brooks Milgate (piano). Supporting this group will be the excellent singer-guitarist Chris Bergson and the talented singer-pianist Katarina Pejak, two artists who regularly teach at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in New York. The rest of the team of speakers is composed of harmonica singer Nico Wayne Toussaint, saxophonists Drew Davis and Sylvain Tejerizo, pianist Paul San Martin, guitarists Tonky De La Pena and Michel Foizon, singer Gladys Amoros, double bassist Abdell B Bop and drummer Hugo Deviers.

Many interns

For this new session, around sixty amateur or professional trainee musicians from France, Switzerland and Belgium will be present and will practice the blues for a week at the “L’Oustal” high school in Villeneuve-sur-Lot. If you are interested, there are still a few places available for this course, from October 22 to 26. Please note that if you are a young blues musician and want to progress and enter into a process tending towards professionalization, the France Blues association can support you in your artistic journey and offers you an education grant to participate in this course. To try to be the lucky one, you must be between 14 and 25 years old and have a good level of practice of your instrument, whether you are a member of a blues group or a solo artist. All you have to do is send a cover letter with your musical CV and if possible a live video presenting what you play to [email protected], before September 30, a listening committee will choose the participant among the candidates.
