Blue Note Jazz Club sets Sights on Hollywood

Get ready, Los Angeles! The iconic Blue Note Jazz Club, renowned for its intimate setting and world-class performances in new York City, is expanding its reach to the Sunset Strip.The announcement, made December 17th, promises to bring the legendary club’s atmosphere and talent to the West Coast.
Scheduled to open in March 2025, the Hollywood location will be Blue Note’s ninth venue outside of its New York flagship.The club joins existing locations in Hawaii, Napa, California, Tokyo, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Milan, Beijing, and Shanghai.

The expansion isn’t limited to a new club.Blue Note has also partnered with the Los Angeles Philharmonic to rebrand the long-standing Hollywood Bowl Jazz Festival as the Blue Note Jazz Festival. The 2025 festival, presented by the LA Phil, will kick off on June 14th, with a full lineup to be revealed in February.

Adding another layer of excitement, both the New York and Los angeles Blue Note venues will be curated by acclaimed artist, composer, producer, and frequent Blue Note collaborator, Robert glasper. Glasper’s involvement extends beyond curation; his annual ROBTOBER residency and collaborations on projects like the Blue Note jazz Festival Napa, Blue Note at Sea, and The Black Radio Experience, solidify his significant role within the blue Note family.
