On Wednesday, May 4th, 2022, at around 8.50 a.m., there was a serious traffic accident on district road 4962 in the Bruderhalde area between the Erlenbruck and Loffelschmiede junctions Right-hand bend, for reasons that have not yet been clarified, turned left into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a 31-year-old driver who was heading towards Titisee. The driver sustained life-threatening injuries and the driver was seriously injured. Both had to be taken to medical treatment. A helicopter was used. The K4962 had to be temporarily closed, among other things because of the recovery of the no longer roadworthy vehicles, but is open to traffic again .
