Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald — Buggingen — Fire on the premises of a disposal company
Freiburg (ots) –
Today, Friday, May 27th, 2022, at around 6:00 p.m., the integrated control center in Freiburg and the police became aware of the fire in an industrial plant in Buggingen.
According to the current state of knowledge, the waste disposal company on the outskirts of Buggingen caught fire in a hall from the waste stored there. The hall itself did not burn, only the material stored there.
This resulted in a short period of heavy smoke development – the damage to property amounts to around 15,000 euros.
At no time was the population endangered by pollution. The deployed fire brigade carried out appropriate measurements on site. As of 8:30 p.m., the measures on site have largely been completed.
The police are now investigating the cause of the fire.
