Today, Sunday, around 12:20 p.m., the integrated control center in Freiburg was informed of a fire in a roof structure in a residential area in Heitersheim.

So far it is known that there was a smoldering fire under the roof in the residential property. No one was in the property at the time the fire broke out.

The fire brigade is currently busy with the extinguishing work – firefighters from Heitersheim, Sulzburg, Müllheim, Buggingen, Eschbach and Ihringen are on duty.

There is no danger to the surrounding population, but heavy smoke can develop in the vicinity of the fire for a longer period of time. Residents have therefore been asked to keep their windows closed.

The police are investigating the cause of the fire. The property damage is estimated to be in the mid six-digit range.
