On Wednesday evening, January 12, 2022, at around 11:00 p.m., there was an incident on a tram line 4 from Bertoldsbrunnen in the direction of Zähringen, which negatively affected several passengers.
The police were informed via an emergency call that two heavily intoxicated people were running through the tram screaming and bullying. They would intimidate several passengers with threats and sometimes made insulting comments. One of the two would not have worn the mask (mouth and nose protection) required by the Freiburger Verkehrs-AG in accordance with the Corona Ordinance and threatened violent reactions to passengers who spoke to him about it. According to the description, it was also this person who was exceptionally aggressive. His companion seemed rather apathetic.
