Forestry tractor overturns – driver slightly injured
A forestry worker was very lucky on Friday afternoon, December 9, 2022, around 1pm.
After completing the work in the Horben Forest, the 50-year-old drove a tractor along the Karrweg, not far from the valley station of the Schauinslandbahn. Apparently due to ice and snow, the tractor with the driver’s cab began to slip. The vehicle went off the road in a bend and overturned several times on the sloping ground, fortunately the driver was only slightly injured.
Work continues on recovering the tractor from rough terrain, the mountain rescue and the Horben fire brigade are still on duty.
The Freiburg traffic police have launched an investigation into the accident.
