“Blue Jackets” deducts 10 hockey players from training camp – Hockey – Apollo.lv – Sports

Blue Jackets has sent five hockey players to junior clubs and released five without renewing probation contracts, the club’s general manager Jarmo Kekeleinen said on Thursday.

The training camp now has 58 players, including 33 strikers, 18 defenders and seven goalkeepers.

Merzliknik will have one less competitor, because the probation contract has not been extended with goalkeeper Emerik Depati.

The Columbus club, which has won twice and lost once in the off-season, will play another test match against Detroit’s Red Wings on Saturday.

The Blue Jackets will open their 21st league season on October 14, meeting with Arizona’s Coyotes.
