The organizers of the’Blue Dragon Film Awards’ said in an official statement on the 8th, “The 41st Blue Dragon Film Awards scheduled to be held on the 11th will be postponed to early 2021 due to the rapid re-proliferation of Corona 19.”
He added, “Recently, there is a growing concern over society due to the outbreak of Corona 19, and we have decided to postpone the awards ceremony for the sake of filmmakers’ safety and to prevent further damage.”

The organizers said, “This year’s Blue Dragon Film Awards was expected to compete with more diverse and competitive nominations than ever. We have been faithfully preparing Korean films to add warm support and vitality to the film industry collapsed due to Corona 19, beyond just a film award. The shining protagonists decided to mobilize in total,” he expressed regret.
The’Blue Dragon Film Awards’ side added, saying that the situation wasn’t easy, and added, “We inevitably postpone the awards ceremony because the comfort of filmmakers comes first with the explosive increase in Corona 19 confirmation.”
The Blue Dragon Film Awards ceremony, which celebrated its 41st anniversary earlier this year, was scheduled to be held on the 11th at Incheon Paradise City with actors Kim Hye-soo and Yeon-Seok Yeon. Due to Corona 19, it was planned to be broadcast live online without audience participation, but the awards ceremony was eventually postponed to early next year.
