With a large ring of blue balloons at the town hall of Mechelen, Veerle Vanhuyse draws attention to World Diabetes Day on Saturday 14 November. Earlier, the statue of Margaret of Austria also turned blue. “Diabetes is an invisible disease, which is why patients are often misunderstood”, it sounds.
