The police stopped several drink driving over the weekend. In Großpostwitz, a 26-year-old had to continue on foot: he had a blood alcohol content of 1.2 on Saturday evening behind the wheel. In Kamenz, two men (24, 32) were under the influence of drugs on Saturday.
Also without a driver’s license is a young man (22), who was found early Sunday morning with 1.2 per thousand in Hoyerswerda on Elsterstrasse. The exhilarating drive of a 37-year-old Audi driver in Rothenburg also ended during the night. A drug test revealed the use of amphetamines.
Driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs on the B96 in Oderwitz did not end quite so lightly: a 35-year-old VW driver came off the road on Sunday morning under the influence of 1.6 per thousand and drug use (amphetamines) and ended up in a ditch. It also turned out that he was driving without a license.
Also in Mittlherwigsdorf and Weißwasser several drunk people were caught behind the wheel. In all cases, the police made reports and investigated.
