The first Olympic champion from Georgia was accused by the police of murder. Former judoist and 2004 Athens winner Zurab Zviadauri allegedly became involved in an incident that killed three people, including his brother.
According to the Interior Ministry, Zviadauri shot a man in the village of Cinandali, who killed his brother after an argument. A total of four people were injured, and only one survived. Zviadauri, who was also a member of parliament after his sports career, faces up to 15 years in prison for murder. The portal of the periodical Marc informed about it.
