Bloody night in France with police killed after Macron’s victory

Despite the fact that French presidential candidate Marine Le Pen called Emmanuel Macron to acknowledge his victory in the election, protests erupted in France, dissatisfied with the results and led to brutal clashes with police, news agencies reported.

Police shot dead two people in central Paris, AFP reported.


According to the agency, law enforcement officers opened fire on a car due to the refusal of its driver to comply with a request of a law enforcement officer.

The bloody action took place during protests near the Pont Neuf bridge, shortly after the news of the re-election of Emmanuel Macron as president on Sunday night.

The driver and the front passenger were killed and another man in the back was injured in the arm. He was given first aid and taken to hospital.

It is known that the car suddenly started against a police officer. He opened fire from his automatic weapon to protect himself.
