Félix VC, who served as a police officer in the 20 de Noviembre community, known as El Morro, San Francisco Ixhuatán, was shot to death this Thursday evening. The assassination of the official left the citizens of the place dismayed.
THE CRIME
The crime was committed around 7:00 p.m. in full facilities of the aforementioned agency. As far as the hitmen arrived on a motorcycle and without hesitation they attacked the agent with bullets and immediately fled.
Felix’s body was left lying next to a bench and some chairs. People who were in the place were stunned by the facts. The crime dismayed the citizens of the place.
Later, elements of the Isthmus Regional Deputy Prosecutor’s Office and the National Guard appeared at the crime scene. Investigating agents and experts began to carry out the proceedings, while the national guards protected the area and combed it in search of the hitmen. But, they managed to evade justice.
STATEMENT FROM IXHUATÁN AUTHORITIES
Subsequently, municipal authorities of San Francisco Ixhuatán issued a statement in which they condemned the attack and murder of the agent.
“The members of the Honorable City Council of San Francisco Ixhuatán, strongly condemn the attack against the Police Agent of the 20 de Noviembre (EL MORRO) community, the citizen FELIX VICENTE CRUZ, who was assassinated today at approximately 7:00 p.m. :20 hours, at the facilities of the ‘November 20 Police Agency’, they said.
In addition, the document states that the case was made known to the relevant authorities. Which would be in charge of investigating and establishing responsibilities for the crime. And to those who will provide the facilities for the investigations of the facts.
“This City Council will provide all the facilities in the investigation to prevent this crime from going unpunished,” they said.
Finally, they offered condolences to the mourners. “In this regard, we express our heartfelt condolences and fraternal solidarity to his family, friends and acquaintances,” they concluded.
FGEO DIGGERS THE FACTS
For its part, the Oaxaca State Attorney General’s Office also issued a statement informing that the case was already being investigated and a multidisciplinary team had been sent to the site to carry out the expert opinion.
“…the FGEO sent a multidisciplinary team to carry out the corresponding procedures, and collect data that allows finding the person or persons responsible for this event,” they reported.
