A disturbing scene has just occurred, live from Buffalo, involving the former Montreal Canadiens Mike Reilly.
He fell really badly, after a solid contact from the attacker Jordan Greenway (Sabres) and as of this writing, he hasn’t moved since his fall.
His head seems to have hit heavily against the ice.
We think highly of him All eyes in the hockey world are currently on Reilly.

It’s the kind of scene we always hate to see at a hockey game, even though in this case it doesn’t appear to be due to a dangerous or illegal hit.
Reilly, 31, is a 6-foot-2, 191-pound defenseman.
The Blue Jackets’ fourth-round pick in 2011 has 122 points in 410 career games in the Bettman league.
He was in his 70th game with the New York Islanders, his 10th this season, he who also played in the Montreal Canadiens organization from 2017 to 2020 (23 points amassed).
Update: Reilly finally got up a few moments later, so that’s promising, but we’re still waiting for an official update.
Details will follow.
We will indeed keep you informed of the smallest details, but the latest news is much more encouraging than the first images that came out.
