Like it or not, there’s a new Saw movie out this year. Had the idea for this one Chris Rock (Dogma), who also plays the lead role in the production. I am still at his side Samuel L. Jackson (Deep Blue Sea) as Max Minghella (The Social Network) und Marisol Nichols (Riverdale). After a first teaser, the official trailer for Saw: Spiral was released at the end of March, which is more like a thriller than a horror film (HERE). Another TV spot has now been released for the upcoming US cinema release, as well as a few bloody pictures, which you can see below. The US release is planned for May 14, 2021. In this country should Saw: Spiral come to cinemas on 09.09.2021. But as we know, that can change at any time and this film has often been postponed back and forth. Directed again Darren Lynn Bousmanwho is an old friend of the franchise. He was already turning the parts Two to Four. Here is the official synopsis:
SAW: SPIRAL opens a new, perfidious chapter in the SAW saga, in which a cold-blooded serial killer brutally ensures his very own form of justice. Along with respected police veteran (Samuel L. Jackson), hardened detective Ezekiel “Zeke” Banks (Chris Rock) and his inexperienced partner (Max Minghella) investigate a number of heinous murders that eerily recall the city’s gruesome past. Without knowing it, Zeke is drawn deeper and deeper into the murderous secret and suddenly finds himself at the center of the morbid game of a bestial killer.
