Premiered at the International Institute of Theater Arts (IATI) in New York
“Bloods of blood. Hundreds of birds prevent you from walking”, starts from the visceral confrontation between values rigidly converted into laws and the useless and bloody struggle of someone who, belonging to that society that supports them, fights to preserve a small plot of individual freedom.
Delegitimizing political or gender violence or its use as poetic license is the first reflection we consider.
The proposal is based on a research process of the “Lorca universe” to build an innovative scenic work. It breaks with “what is conventionally Lorca” to be “more Lorca than ever”, being at the same time a theater that investigates and renews itself.
Mother, Bride, Moon, characters of unquestionable tragic dimension, burst with force in this one-man show that continues the line begun with “The Heart of Antigone”, as a new and disturbing challenge, both for María Vidal, the actress who plays him, as well as for the new audiences that await them.
