Blood Sugar Control, Diabetics Must Limit Consumption of These Foods : Okezone Trend

DIABETES It is one of the most common diseases suffered by people in the world. Most diabetes causes complications in other important organs that lead to death.

Summarizing from the official Instagram page of the Covid-19 Task Force for Behavior Change, @satgaschangebehavior, Wednesday (11/24/2021), there are several people who are at risk of developing type 2 diabetes and prediabetes (transition to diabetes), including:

1. People who are overweight.

2. People with unhealthy eating patterns.

3. People who are lazy to move.

4. Elderly people (elderly).

5. People who have a history of diabetes.

For those of you who already have diabetes, don’t be discouraged. You only need to limit certain foods. It would be better if these foods are not consumed at all. Among them:

Foods with moderate sugar:

1. Granulated sugar

2. Javanese sugar or palm sugar

3. Soft drinks or packaged drinks

4. Jam

5. Agar

6. Candied fruit or preserved fruit

7. Sweet condensed (SKM)

8. Ice cream

9. Sweet pastries

10. Dodol or lempok

11. Cake or sponge

12. Chocolate

Foods high in fat:

1. Fried foods

2. Fast food

Junk Food

Foods that are high in sodium:

1. Salted fish

2. Salted egg

3. Preserved food

If you want to replace granulated sugar, palm or Javanese sugar, and rock sugar with alternative sugars, then use a limited amount. Alternative sugars include: fructose, sugar alcohols (sorbitol, mannitol, silitol, aspartame, and saccharin).
