His deeds were particularly cruel: After his arrest, a man in Kenya confessed to the murder of at least twelve children. According to the police, he drank the victims’ blood after the crime. He fled police custody two days ago – but he didn’t get far.
Two days after escaping from police custody, an alleged serial child murderer in Kenya was lynched by an angry crowd. The man, who had confessed to the murder of at least twelve children, was recognized by children on the way to school in his hometown that morning, a spokesman for the authorities reported.
The news got around very quickly, and a crowd started the persecution. “In the end he ran into a neighboring house, but he was pulled out and lynched,” said head of administration Bonface Ndiema. The man escaped from custody shortly before a trial in Nairobi on Wednesday. He was arrested in July for the murder of two children.
During interrogation, he confessed to murdering at least ten other children. According to the police, he is said to have “drawn the blood out of the veins” of some of his victims. He is said to have disposed of the bodies in the undergrowth or in the sewer system. Several of the bodies could never be found.
