Blood on toilet paper after defecation

Hello Mrs. Höfel,

I am currently in the 29th week of pregnancy.

Now for the first time during pregnancy I had bright red blood on the toilet paper after a bowel movement. After the first wiping, nothing was to be seen, the blood was only visible behind.

A few years ago I had problems with hemorrhoids.

Should I go straight to the doctor on Monday or should I watch it first? I try to drink a lot, but the stool is almost always hard.

Thank you very much for your feedback!

Many greetings,
Rosalie

Blood on toilet paper after defecation

Dear Rosalie,

not only drink a lot, also eat high-fiber foods – both together help.

No, you don’t need to see a doctor straight away because of the hemorrhoids.

best regards
