Kidney cancer symptoms

Kidney cancer is also known as renal cell carcinoma (RCC)as described by the American Cancer Society.

“This cancer begins when cells in the kidney grow out of control and outnumber normal cells. This makes it difficult for the body to function the way it should,” the website adds, which also describes that There are different types of this cancer kidney but the most common is renal cell cancer.

Although it sometimes does not cause symptoms, when they do appear they include:

  • Fever

Tests to diagnose kidney cancer begin with a urinalysis, blood chemistry panel, complete blood count, chest X-ray, CT scan, MRI, ultrasound, and kidney biopsy, as indicated by the National Cancer Institute.
