It was 2:50 in the afternoon on Sunday. A few meters from the La Moderna court, located in the Bellavista neighborhood of Malambo, there were several people walking around. The shots fired by the criminals caused screams and panic.
The hitman fled as quickly as he pulled the trigger of his gun, but there were shocked witnesses at the scene and many questions. There lay the corpse of a man, for whom nothing could be done: the bullets killed him instantly.
Police officers arrived at the crime scene and later confirmed that the deceased victim’s name was René Alfonso Rodríguez Arias, 42 years old.
The official report from the institution stated that the deceased received several gunshot wounds. It states that on 4B2 Street and 1st Avenue, he was approached by a subject who “shot him without saying a word.”
Immediately, Rodríguez Arias fell face up to the pavement. Blood ran down his face and was seen by the residents of the area who witnessed the scene.
