Hello my dears,
I found out that I am very newly pregnant (5th week) with a cb digital sst last weekend after I was overdue
Yesterday I had an appointment with my gyn. So not because of the positive test, but the appointment for cycle monitoring had been set for some time.
In practice, too, an sst was made that was positive.
This morning the practice called me and asked me to come for a blood sample to determine the hcg value. I couldn’t speak to the doctor anymore … can someone explain why the hcg should be measured again in the blood? Or is that normal?

My congratulations 
At the beginning of the SS up to a certain week, blood is drawn regularly to check the HCG value.
This must double within 2-3 days.
With this method it can be determined early on whether the pregnancy is positive or negative

It is not the rule that blood is drawn constantly.
Maybe she found the value low and therefore wants a comparison value.
I don’t find it worrying yet.

Not at all standard that HCG is determined for no reason in early pregnancy. You couldn’t prevent a miscarriage anyway – if it did. Usually the FÄ do not order until the 8./9. Week about a. Unless there is a medical reason (medication you need or spotting, etc.). So find it very strange that your FÄ has called you in by phone to determine the HCG.

No, that’s nonsense. And unnecessary stress. In none of my pregnancies was HCG checked by blood tests. You do that in a few cases, the doctor wants to make money or is bored if a pregnancy cannot be confirmed by US, but this would be important because of work or if there is a threat of a FG.
Right now I would save myself the stress and also ask the doctor’s assistant for what reason the doctor absolutely wants to do this.
I bet next the user will be offered fotoflatrate etc. Even if this is prohibited from 2021.

Why did you have the cycle montering done? Tell yourself more about yourself, then you can better assess it.
I also determined my hcg by taking a blood sample because you couldn’t see anything on the ultrasound and wanted to assess whether my entry had shifted or whether it might not be an intact pregnancy.
I find it very prudent.

Absolutely schmarrn. In both SS, blood was not taken once for HCG determination, only for the antibody tests after a positive heart action.
Either the heart beats or it doesn’t.

You can’t infer any other woman from yourself, can you?
No doctor can do that out of boredom. You might find out more.
