It was no ordinary flight. The passengers of a Delta Air plane experienced severe turbulence. Blood poured from their mouths and ears.
Salt Lake City, USA – Flying is not everyone’s cup of tea. The fear of heights and the turbulence that can occur is too great. As soon as the weather turns unstable and stormy, things can shake a lot on board. Or a Passenger accidentally locks himself in the toilet.
But it is probably rare for something as extreme as what passengers on a Delta Air plane in the USA experienced. Blood was running from their mouths and ears – and the weather wasn’t even to blame.

How KSL5TV reportedthe dramatic scenes described above occurred on the plane shortly after takeoff. The Delta Air flight from Salt Lake City to Portland had only just taken off when disaster struck. “I looked over at my husband and he had both hands over his ears and was kind of leaning forward,” Caryn Allen, one of the passengers, told the medium in this context.

The couple quickly realized that they were not the only people on board who suddenly felt pain. “I looked around the row behind me, across the aisle, and there was a gentleman who obviously had a very bad bloody nose and people were trying to help him,” she describes her experiences in the air.
Pressure drop gets worse: Delta Air flight passengers face pain
Another passenger, identified as Jaci Purser, spoke of a pain that felt like someone was stabbing her ear. She even felt her ear burst due to the pressure in the cabin. This explains the reason for the pain during the turbulent flight: problems with the cabin pressure.
As the pressure drop was getting worse by the minute, the pilot of the Delta Air plane had only one choice: to make an emergency landing. The plane had to turn around and landed in Salt Lake City again. During loading, panic broke out on board – as was the case in the case of of a “rebellious” passenger on another flight who also had to make an emergency landing.

Sea KSL5TV Delta Air Lines had already issued a written statement about the incident. Although the aircraft’s problems with cabin pressure were explicitly mentioned, the cause of the problem was not discussed in detail. “It’s an automatic thing that the aircraft does and we monitor it to see if it’s not doing what it’s supposed to do,” a retired pilot from the airline is quoted as saying.
In this case, the constant drop in pressure had a drastic effect on the passengers. After landing, ten of them had to be treated medically. This was also noted in the airline’s statement: “We sincerely apologize to all passengers for their experience on Flight 1203,” it says. As a result, the incident is now being investigated by the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) investigated. (he)
