María Ángeles Polanco, Councillor for Health: “Donations were being made in municipal spaces that were not the most appropriate for this purpose”
The Medical Department has authorized the Barruelo de Santullán City Council to carry out blood donations at the local outpatient clinic, according to the municipal council.
According to the City Council, the Councillor for Health, María Ángeles Polanco, was the one who ‘led’ the procedures that allowed this authorization, after publicly expressing the City Council’s concern about the lack of an adequate space for donations. Since 2019, these were ”being made in municipal spaces that were not the most appropriate for them,” says María Ángeles Polanco.
The second deputy mayor has highlighted the achievement, underlining the efforts of the municipal team to improve services for residents. “While some are dedicated to defaming, others are working to improve the services provided to our residents,” she said.
The authorization has already arrived, according to the Councillor for Health, after the administrative procedures and formalities carried out, marking a ‘significant’ step in improving the conditions for blood donations in the town.
