The holiday season blood drive in Chambly exceeded the objectives set by the organization.
The donor target was 225, while 245 donors came forward. The actual collection target of 186 was just exceeded, while the number of 192 was reached. This time, 27 new donors offered their hemoglobin. On December 20, 21 and 22, under the honorary presidency of Alexandra Labbé, Mayor of Chambly, people graciously donated to the Center des Aînés de Chambly.
192 – This is the number of actual samples taken during blood collection.
Since each donation can help up to four people, more than 765 patients will receive blood products, thanks to the cooperation of donors, the Héma-Québec team and volunteers.
Héma-Québec, its partners and the hospitals of Québec said they were very grateful to the donors who contributed to the success of the event.
The next collection will take place on January 20 at the Multipurpose Center in Carignan.
