The Dégourdis of École du Bois-Joli, in Saint-Vincent-de-Paul, invite Laval residents to come and donate their blood during a blood drive.
The blood drive will be held on Friday, March 17, between 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., in the school gymnasium located at 955, rue Miville-Déchêne.
Héma-Québec recommends making an appointment online or by phone at 1 800 343-7264 before coming to the collection.
The club and Héma-Québec hope to welcome 60 donors there.
Although the cold season makes you want to stay bundled up, the need for blood products does not decrease.
By donating blood this winter, it becomes possible to provoke a wave of human warmth of inestimable value.
This winter, 2,000 people who have never donated blood are being sought every month.
The response to this call will lead Héma-Québec to an optimal reserve level.
This mobilization between people who donate regularly and the new people who will be added will therefore allow Héma-Québec to pursue its mission, which is to effectively meet the daily needs of hospitals.
Héma-Québec is counting on the generosity of thousands of people.
