The MRC de Beauharnois-Salaberry invites the population to take part in the second edition of the Blood drive of the bicycle patrollers of the Regional Park on March 15 and 16 at the Hotel Plaza Valleyfield. In collaboration with Héma-Québec, the event will take place between 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., but by appointment only due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the people in charge of this blood drive, in this case the members of the Héma-Québec team, to which a dozen volunteer bike patrollers from the MRC de Beauharnois-Salaberry, no less than 200 donors are expected for the occasion.

“Due to the pandemic, in order to comply with public health instructions and avoid groupings, this collection will be held this year exclusively by appointment. These provisions eliminate expectations and thus allow the donor to proceed with his donation on time. Precautions are really taken to make this collection a reliable and safe event, ”said Jean Séguin, a volunteer for ten years, both with Héma-Québec and with the bicycle patrol team of the regional park. of the Beauharnois-Salaberry RCM.
