Blood drive at the Laminoir again this Wednesday

Here we are at the end of such a special year. Deconfinement and the uncertainties that surround it, holidays, the end of year celebrations or other seasonal viruses are factors that can make blood drives less frequented by donors. However, the sick will always need blood.

This is why the association of Volunteer Blood Donors from Decazeville and its region and the EFS invite you to the last collection of the year, this Wednesday, December 30, at the Laminoir, from 1 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.

Who can donate? The main conditions for donating blood are to be in good health, to be between 18 and 70 years old, to weigh more than 50 kg and not to have been transfused. In the following cases, donations must be deferred for: 24 hours after a caries or scaling treatment, 7 days at the end of an antibiotic treatment, 14 days after an infectious episode, 4 months after an endoscopy, a piercing or a tattoo , 4 months after a trip to a country where malaria is rife, 6 months after giving birth.

All health measures are taken at the collection sites to protect donors, volunteers and staff. Each person is provided with a mask with respect for barrier gestures and distance.
