Who can donate

  • People between 16 and 65 years of age,
  • With a minimum body weight of 50 kilos,
  • No history of heart, lung, liver, Chagas disease, oncological, infectious or other potentially risky disease for the recipient.

They cannot be donors

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding women
  • Those who have undergone surgery in the last 12 months
  • Those who have had a piercing or tattoo in the last 12 months.
  • Those who have had an endoscopy or colonoscopy in the last six months.

People who have received the COVID-19 vaccine can donate 72 hours after inoculation, if they do not present symptoms.

Those who have had COVID-19 and have overcome the disease can donate after 14 days of being discharged.

Those who have received antibiotic medication should wait 14 days from the last dose.

A person can donate blood with a minimum interval of two months. Men can do it up to four times a year, and women up to three times.

Before the donation is made, the volunteer receives clear and precise information, a confidential interview is carried out and a medical professional carries out the clinical control, consisting of taking pulse, blood pressure, temperature and hemoglobin level.
